Biography
David is a restructuring partner in our London office. He joined the firm in 2004 originally working in our regional office network. In 2006 he moved to the London office to support in setting up a specialist team focusing on creditor and debtor side assignments in the guise of Independent Business Reviews (IBRs), Independent Solvency Reviews (ISRs) and debt advisory.
David has over 20 years’ experience in the accounting profession and prior to joining the firm has worked in Top 50 London based partnerships.
Hands on turnaround assignments have also been one of David’s main focuses. This has generally been working alongside high street clearing banks and typically involve: stabilisation of cash and creditor position, profit improvement, cash generation, consideration of appropriate restructuring mechanisms, implementation of new systems, assisting in refinancing and managing Accelerated Mergers and Acquisitions (AMAs).

Review of London Stock Exchange UK listed, multi EU location, pharmaceutical company
Cash stabilisation and successful business sale of major UK tour operator, which turned over in excess of £100m
Numerous assignments within the private education arena, including: orderly shutdown, merger of two underperforming schools and new money requests to banks in support of turnaround strategies
Review, valuation and negotiation regarding sale of telecoms group, which resulted in the bank writing its impairment back
Multi-phase assignment on a well-publicised leisure group. Other assignments in this sector to include sporting clubs (golf and rugby primarily), bars and public houses, hotels and restaurants
Continues to work with all stakeholders within the care and health sector. Work has included IBR’s, ISR’s, strategic advice, negotiation of creditor repayment plans and contingency planning.
